Edge Pinning for Web Lateral Control
If there is lateral movement of a web this can lead to a finished reel where the edges are not together. Such reels will not be acceptable to customers and they may need to be rewound or have more trim removed because of damage.
Edge Pinning for Web Lateral Control - Select a problem:
Lateral movement of the film results in bad, untidy reels. Powered by an IONFIX Compact Static Generator, 7160 Generator Bars or 7095 Static Pinners, located at each edge of the film and about 20 mm from the film surface, pin the edge of the film to the last steel cylinder and prevent lateral movement. It is important that this cylinder has conductive bearings and is connected to earth. A similar system is used on the delivery end of the film.
