740 Surface Resistance Meter
The 740 Surface Resistance Meter is a pocket-sized instrument providing fast and repeatable measurements of conductive, static dissipative and insulative surfaces.
Checking surface resistance where electrical properties are critical
Typically electronics industry packaging materials and work surfaces
Measurement of conductive and static dissipative materials
Range 103 to 1012 Ohms/Square. ASTM Standard.
Equipment supplied
Carrying case, battery and earth lead for resistance to ground measurement
The 740 Surface Resistance Meter (SRM) provides fast and repeatable measurements of conductive, static dissipative and insulative surfaces.
The pocket-sized 740 SRM uses the ASTM Standard method of parallel bar sensing, features automatic ranging and is easy to operate (see Datasheet).
When measuring surface resistivity, an illuminated LED shows the decade in Ohms per Square. Resistance to ground measurements are shown in Ohms.
Traditionally used for checking packaging materials in the electronics sector, the 740 is now also used to check a wide range of materials and processes throughout industry.
