Bad Sealing in Vertical Form Fill Machines
Static electricity on the film attracts the product which causes bad sealing on the top and bottom of the bags. This is a common problem with light and dusty products.
Bad Sealing in Vertical Form Fill Machines - Select a problem:
Product is sticking to the bag and causing a bad sealThe film web has a static charge generated by the unwind and transport across rollers
Position two short range 3014 or 1250-S Static Eliminators on either side of the film; just below the filling tube and above the top position of the horizontal sealer. This will prevent the product from sticking to the film.
A short range 3014 or 1250-S Static Eliminator located just before the forming shoulder will neutralise the inside of the film/bag.
