There are many applications where a loose item is added to a moving product. It could be a label, an advertising insert, operating instructions, etc. Loose labels may be put onto packages before wrapping. Static is used to stick the label to the package so that it does not move.
If static generation is not used to hold the label to the product, there is a risk that it will slide off. Using electrostatics is simple, clean, controllable and low cost.

A typical application could have a 7160 Generator Bar, powered by an IONFIX Compact Static Generator, positioned across the direction of travel of the production line and at the insertion position. A 660 Static Discharger can be used as the counter-electrode. A brief static charge from the generator bar will fix the loose item in place.
