EX-Hazardous Area Applications
Neutralising static in hazardous areas is vital. One spark from a static charge could, in many cases, ignite the solvent and result in fire or explosion and serious injury or death. Fraser has developed an ATEX certified range of static control products specifically for these hazardous EX applications.
One spark from a static charge could result in fire or explosion and serious injury or death, hence the critical need to neutralise static electricity in hazardous areas. Only ATEX-certified static control equipment can be used in these areas.

EX-Hazardous Area Applications - Select a problem:
The objective is to reduce the static charge on the web entering and leaving the printing/coating head so that it does not present a fire hazard.
EX-1250 EX Static Eliminators are carefully designed for optimum neutralisation. EX-HPSD 101/201 Static Dischargers can also be used.
The EX-715 Static Meter allows an engineer to safely investigate a static problem in an EX hazardous area both efficiently and scientifically for informed decision-making.
The Fraser EX-715 is the only ATEX-certified static meter. It is also certified to the international IECEx standard.
Air knife assemblies are used to neutralise whole car bodies on entering the paint booth. If the area is determined to be hazardous, then air knives with EX-1250 anti-static bars should be used.
