Connect to earth and drape over winder

801 Anti-Static Tinsel is a traditional and effective method of neutralising static electricity on sheets and webs throughout industry, including film winder or unwinder applications where the web path changes.

Suitable for high charges and fast speeds, it is an effective solution to many static problems where electrical static eliminators cannot be justified.

Fraser 801 Anti-Static Tinsel is made of 99 % pure copper and has a multiple copper wire core to give positive grounding and strength, with a breaking strain of approximately 10 kg.

Approximately 32 mm in diameter, the tinsel can be positioned 2-3 mm above the material to be neutralised or touching, where permitted, for increased performance.  The fine copper ‘leaves’ or filaments concentrate the electric field and allow the static charge to flow to earth.

801 Anti-Static Tinsel is available in boxed lengths of 22 m or 110 m and must be connected to earth.

The best choice of product depends upon process speed, the distance of the static eliminator from the target and the level of static charge to be neutralised. Please get in touch for further assistance.
