Static electricity causes problems in every area of plastic moulding.

Elimination of Static from Plastic Mouldings - Select a problem:

Mouldings that have been trimmed, machined or allowed to attract airborne contaminants will need cleaning before packing, painting or incorporating into further products.

Depending on the size of the product or speed/volume of the process, anything from the 4125 Ionised Air Gun, 4200 Ionised Air Nozzle System to the 4900 Roto-Clean or 5000/5100 Ionised Air Knives are efficient solutions for static neutralisation and dust removal.

The heat, pressure and separation from the thermo-forming or vacuum-forming tool results in statically charged products that stick together when stacked. These attract dust and other contaminants.

Good neutralisation options are a long range static eliminator such as a bar from the NEOS range or a 2010 Ionised Air Blower positioned immediately after the tool.

As mouldings cool, static charge is generated. This can attract contamination and additionally give operator shocks. Long-range anti-static bars are used to neutralise the mouldings after removal from the mould. Ionised Air Blowers can also provide a good solution.
